The Supreme Team! Youth Leadership Club
The Supreme Team is BLA's youth leadership club designed to help teens build quality leadership skills, inner character, and help the community along the way.

July 19, Reading Room
This is a workshop which will start the new school year off with a bang of reading excitement.
Here the team will learn the value of nonfiction reading, how get the most out of a book discussion, and how to investigate the credibility of authors. The team will be given a list of titles for the school year, and will conduct a month book discussion. This activity is open to all teens and is not reserved for Supeme Team members only. There are guidelines for behavior, no cell phones, the time during the book discussion will be treated with respect.
Every other Friday the team meets in Oneonta for a park day and a PE credit. An assigned PE topic is emailed in advance to prepare the team for this event.
Following the park event, the team reports to the Glazier home for a leadership class. This year we are starting with Lemonade to Leadership with extended projects for high school level. Following the lesson the team enjoys each others company with any activity of their choice. A campfire lulls them to sleep cozy in their tents, unless weather does not permit. The team awakes to breakfast and Bible study. Currently we are studying curriculum based on the movie To Save A Life.
Every month the team commits to at least one service to the community. The following are current projects to be completed before December of 2010:
Children's Hospital Craft Day
Fall Festival at the School for the Deaf and Blind.
Down's Syndrome Park Day
Baby Steps Charity 5k.
Each service is sure to improve the lives of others while building character and humility in the hearts of those serving. God Bless "The Supreme Team"
